Every week we bring you a list of the top former Sharks players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Maurice Kemp (6'8''-PF-91, played in 2010-11, plays pro in Spain) could not help Montakit Fuenlabrada (10-20) in their game last Sunday. Despite his very good performance Montakit Fuenlabrada was edged 88-87 on the road by the much higher-ranked Zaragoza (#8).
Kemp was the top scorer with 20 points. He also added 7 rebounds and made 2 blocks in 29 minutes.
There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
This season Kemp averages 7.9ppg and 4.3rpg.
#2. Elio Corazza (6'4''-PG-89, graduated '10, plays in Brazil) led SESI-SP/Franca Basquete Sao Paulo to a victory against the closely-ranked Mogi (17-9) 89-78 in the Brazilian NBB in Wednesday night's game.
Corazza scored 13 points and added 7 passes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. SESI-SP/Franca Basquete Sao Paulo (3-7) is placed first in the NBB.
This year Corazza averages 7.2ppg, 3.5rpg and 5.8apg in 27 games he played so far.
#3. Trevor Mbakwe (6'10''-C/F-89, played in 2008-09, currently in Greece) managed to help AEK Athens to win against the league outsider Kolossos HH (4-21) crushing them 106-69 in the Greek A1 last Wednesday.
He scored only 4 points in 15 minutes. It was his first game for AEK this season.
His team is placed third in the A1.
It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses.
The Regular Season already ended.
Mbakwe is a naturalized Nigerian.
#4. Christian Pizarro (5'11''-G-95, graduated '15, plays pro in Puerto Rico) was not able to help Indios de Mayaguez (8-17) in their last game. Despite Pizarro's very good performance the bottom-ranked Indios de Mayaguez lost 98-103 in Bayamon to the higher-ranked (#7) Vaqueros.
He was the top scorer with 19 points. Pizarro also added 6 assists.
Pizarro has relatively good stats this year 11.3ppg, 3.3rpg and 5.1apg in eight games.
#5. Julien Sargent (6'11''-C-91, played in 2009-10, plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Rivas in their game against Movistar Estudiantes Madrid B (11-11) in the Spanish EBA (fourth division). He did not have that impressive stats last Saturday.
Sargent recorded only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 17 minutes.
his team was crushed 75-38 at home by the lower-ranked Movistar Estudiantes Madrid B (#7) in the Group B.
It's Sargent's first season with the team.
He has relatively good stats this year 11.3ppg, 3.3rpg and 5.1apg.
