EuroBasket Pro Chaparrals Weekly Update

Every week we bring you a list of the top former Chaparrals players who continue their career in pro basketball.
#1. Dwayne Davis (6'5''-F-89, played in 2010-11, plays pro in Uruguay) led Aguada to a 3-point victory over the third-ranked Nacional (3-2) 83-80 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB on Monday night.
He was MVP of the game. Davis scored 20 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 37 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 3 ranked teams in group Places 1-6. Atletico Aguada (3-9) is placed first.
It's Davis' first season with the team.
He has individually a very good year with high stats. Davis averages 18.4ppg, 4.8rpg and 3.2apg.
#2. Experienced Arturas Valeika (6'9''-F-85, played in 2004-06, plays in Romania) was the major contributor in Oradea's victory against the sixth-ranked Pitesti (10-14) 93-87 in the Romanian Liga Nationala in Thursday night's game.
Valeika scored 19 points, had 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
CSM CSU Oradea (11-11) is placed third in Group Red.
This year Valeika averages 8.0ppg, 5.5rpg and 1.5apg in 25 games he played so far.
#3. Darrell Williams (6'8''-F/C-89, graduated '15, currently in France) led Le Portel to a victory against the fourth-ranked Chalons-Reims (21-11) 83-81 in the French Jeep ELITE ProA last Friday.
He recorded 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 25 minutes.
ESSM Le Portel Cote d'Opale (13-19) is placed 11th in the Jeep ELITE ProA.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
It's Williams' first season with the team.
Williams has relatively good stats this year 13.1ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.4apg and 1.1spg.
#4. Jonathon Simmons (6'6''-G-89, played in 2009-10, plays pro in the NBA). Simmons could not help the Philadelphia 76ers (51-31) to beat the Toronto Raptors (58-24) in the NBA.
He scored 6 points.
The Philadelphia 76ers (51-31) were crushed 125-89 at home by the Raptors.
This year Simmons averages 5.1ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.7apg in 21 games.
#5. Nathan Jawai (6'10''-F/C-86, graduated '07, plays in France) was not able to help Levallois (14-18) in their game last Friday. Despite his good performance Levallois was edged 80-79 on their home court in Levallois by the higher-ranked Monaco (#10).
Jawai recorded 10 points in 16 minutes.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
This season Jawai averages 6.5ppg and 2.6rpg.
#6. Torren Jones (6'9''-F/C-94, played in 2014-15, currently in Australia) was not able to secure a victory for Albury Wodonga Bandits in their game against Ballarat Miners in the Australian State League (second division), despite his very good performance on Saturday night.
He had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds.
But his team were crushed by 63 points 126-63.
Jones has very impressive stats this year 20.2ppg, 14.0rpg, 1.2apg, 1.8bpg and 1.6spg in five games.
#7. Daeshon Francis (6'4''-G, played in 2015-16, plays pro in Luxembourg) led Larochette to a victory over the fourth-ranked Residence 108-97 in the Luxembourg Total League on Saturday night.
Francis was MVP of the game. He scored 28 points (!!!), grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 6 assists in 27 minutes.
This season Francis has very high stats. He averages 26.4ppg, 9.4rpg, 4.8apg and 1.9spg.
#8. Tiegbe Bamba (6'9''-F-91, played in 2012-13, plays in France) contributed to a Chartres Basket Masculins' victory against the 12th-ranked Paris 92-78 in the French ProB (second division) in Tuesday night's game.
He recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
This year Bamba averages 10.0ppg, 4.3rpg and 2.4apg in 11 games.
He has also French passport.
#9. Majok Majok (6'9''-F-92, played in 2010-12, currently in Australia) helped Frankston Blues win their game against the eighth-ranked NW Tasmania Thunder 103-90 in the Australian State League (second division) last Saturday.
Majok recorded 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists in 31 minutes.
Majok has relatively good stats this season 12.7ppg, 10.3rpg and 2.1apg.
He has also Australian citizenship.
#10. Guy Landry Edi (6'8''-F/G-88, played in 2009-11, plays pro in France) couldn't help Champagne Chalons-Reims Basket in their game against JL Bourg in the French Jeep ELITE ProA.
Edi scored only 4 points.
His team lost 96-102.
This year Edi averages 2.8ppg and 1.5rpg in 12 games.
He has also French nationality.
