Here is the weekly review of the top performing Raiders alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Elgin Cook (6'6''-SF-93, played in 2012-13, plays pro in Croatia) led his Croatian team KK Cedevita Zagreb to a victory against the closely-ranked Buducnost (16-6) 90-83 in the ABA League on Monday night.
He recorded 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) in 22 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Cook's third season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. KK Cedevita Zagreb (16-6) is placed second in the ABA League.
It's Cook's first year with the team.
He has relatively good stats this season 12.8ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.3apg.
#2. Jamarr Sanders (6'4''-G-88, graduated '11, plays in Italy) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked MIA-RO Cantu (12-11) crushing them 88-66 in the Italian Serie A in Sunday night's game.
He scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.
Alma-Agenzia Per Il Lavoro Trieste (12-11) is placed seventh in the Serie A.
It's Sanders' first season with the team.
Sanders has relatively good stats this year 11.2ppg, 4.4rpg and 2.6apg in 21 games he played so far.
#3. Jalen Jackson (6'6''-G/F-94, graduated '17, currently in Finland) was the major contributor in a 2-point KTP Basket Kotka's victory against the closely-ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (21-15) 80-78 in the Finnish Korisliiga last Saturday.
Jackson scored 17 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 29 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. KTP Basket Kotka (19-15) is placed fifth in the Korisliiga.
Jackson has relatively good stats this season 13.4ppg, 5.6rpg, 4.0apg and 1.9spg.
#4. Tevin Glass (6'9''-F-94, graduated '17, plays pro in Taiwan) led his Taiwanese team Formosa Dreamers to a victory over the league outsider Zhuhai (2-24) 99-88 in the ASEAN League on Wednesday night.
Glass was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 13 rebounds. Glass also added 4 assists, 2 blocks and 4 steals (was perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line).
Formosa Dreamers (19-7) are placed first in the ASEAN League.
It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row.
There are only two games left until the end of the ASEAN League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Glass has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages 20.2ppg, 10.0rpg, 2.6apg and 1.7spg in 26 games.
#5. Jordan Capps (6'7''-F-95, graduated '18, plays in Kosovo) could not help Bashkimi (14-1) in their game last Saturday. Despite his very good performance the league leader Bashkimi was defeated 80-76 at home by the lower-ranked Rahoveci (#3).
Capps was the top scorer with 30 points. He also added 5 boards, passed 3 assists and added 3 steals in 36 minutes.
It's Capps' first season with the team.
This year Capps has very high stats. He averages 25.7ppg, 7.3rpg, 1.6apg and 1.6spg.
#6. Darnell Harris (6'8''-F-92, graduated '16, currently in Greece) was not able to help Panionios in their game against Olympiacos in the Greek A1.
He scored 7 points.
His team was crushed by 36 points 101-65.
Harris has relatively good stats this year 10.1ppg and 4.5rpg in 20 games.
#7. Vincent Zollo (6'9''-F-92, graduated '16, plays pro in Czech Republic) managed to help BK Geosan Kolin to win against the third-ranked NH Ostrava 88-83 in the Czech Republic NBL on Saturday night.
Zollo scored only 2 points in 6 minutes on the court.
This season he averages 3.3ppg and 1.4rpg.
#8. William Pfister (6'10''-F-95, graduated '18, plays in France) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked CFBB crushing them 90-59 in the French NM1 (third division) in Friday night's game.
He recorded 8 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocks.
This year Pfister averages 7.3ppg, 6.6rpg and 1.1spg in 27 games.
#9. Chris Jones (6'0''-PG-91, played in 2011-13, currently in Canada), who plays in the NBLCanada was not able to secure a victory for the Windsor Express (17-21) in their game last Wednesday. Despite his good performance the Windsor Express (#5) were crushed 144-78 on the road by the Halifax Hurricanes.
Jones was the second best scorer with 14 points (went 6 for 6 at the free throw line) in 22 minutes.
This season he has very high stats. Jones averages 21.2ppg, 5.4rpg, 3.9apg and 1.7spg.
#10. Xavier Moon (6'2''-G-95, graduated '17, plays pro in Canada) couldn't help the London Lightning in their game against the Sudbury Five in the NBLCanada, despite his very good performance last Sunday.
He scored 17 points, had 6 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 4 balls.
But his team lost 108-116.
Moon has relatively good stats this year 14.4ppg, 4.5rpg, 4.2apg and 1.4spg in 33 games.
