Here is the weekly review of the top performing Cougars alumni, who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Vasil Bachev (6'5''-SG-92, graduated '13, plays pro in Bulgaria) led his Bulgarian team Akademik Bultex 99 Plovdiv to a victory against the closely-ranked Kozuv (3-9) 91-86 in the Balkan League in Wednesday night's game.
He recorded 14 points in 29 minutes.
Akademik Bultex 99 Plovdiv (8-4) is placed third in the Balkan League.
Bachev's team will play only one more game in the Balkan League Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
It's Bachev's fourth season with the team.
He has relatively good stats this year 14.9ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.8apg in 12 games he played so far.
#2. Arne Ingebrigtsen (6'6''-G-90, graduated '13, plays in Norway) could not help Froya Basket (17-10) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Ingebrigtsen's good performance Froya Basket was defeated 94-86 on the road by the leading Kongsberg.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 11 rebounds.
It's Ingebrigtsen's fourth season with the team.
Ingebrigtsen has relatively good stats this year 10.8ppg, 4.3rpg and 1.5apg.
#3. Roberto Mantovani (6'8''-F-94, played in 2015-16, currently in Cyprus) managed to help Petrolina AEK Larnaca in a victory against one of league's weakest teams AEL (7-14) crushing them 85-57 in the Cypriot Division A on Wednesday night.
He scored only 2 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 15 minutes.
Petrolina AEK Larnaca (17-4) is placed first in the Division A.
It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial.
It's Mantovani's first season with the team.
This year Mantovani averages 1.7ppg and 2.1rpg in 12 games.
He has also Cypriot nationality.
#4. Nick Hammink (6'4''-G-95, graduated '16, plays pro in Holland) was not able to help Dutch Windmills Dordrecht in their game against Leiden (23-2) in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Hammink recorded only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
Dutch Windmills Dordrecht was crushed 97-74 on the opponent's court by the leading Leiden.
This season Hammink averages 2.6ppg and 1.4rpg.
#5. Ali Ouakkaha (6'2''-G-90, graduated '13, plays in Norway) contributed to a Gimle BBK's victory against the closely-ranked Baerum Basket (21-6) 78-64 in the Norwegian BLNO last Sunday.
He recorded 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 21 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Gimle BBK Bergen (22-5) is placed second in the BLNO.
It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row.
This year Ouakkaha averages 6.4ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.0apg and 1.5spg in 26 games.
#6. Jeremy Landenbergue (6'3''-PG-93, graduated '13, currently in Switzerland) was not able to secure a victory for Monthey in their game against Geneve Lions in the Swiss SBL.
He recorded only 4 points.
His team was defeated 98-87.
This season Landenbergue averages 7.4ppg, 1.7rpg and 2.6apg.
#7. Adrian Thorangen (6'5''-F-93, graduated '14, plays pro in Sweden) couldn't help IK Eos Lund in their game against Alvik Basket in the Swedish Superettan (second division).
He scored 8 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in only 9 minutes.
His team was crushed by 26 points 79-53.
Thorangen has relatively good stats this year 14.1ppg and 3.1rpg in 14 games.
#8. Rafael Casanova (6'5''-G/F-93, played in 2013-15, plays in Spain) led Carbajosa to a victory over the 12th-ranked Un.Oviedo 75-68 in the Spanish EBA (fourth division) last Sunday.
He was MVP of the game. Casanova scored 17 points, made 4 passes and 3 steals.
Casanova has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 17.5ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.7apg and 1.2spg.
