We bring you last week's top former Seahawks players who are currently playing in pro basketball.
#1. Tre' Bennett (5'10''-PG-92, played in 2013-14, plays pro in Georgia) led Olimpi to a double overtime (!!!) victory over the closely-ranked TSU-Hyundai (8-6) 97-94 in a derby game in the Georgian Superleague on Wednesday night.
He was MVP of the game. Bennett scored 28 points (!!!), grabbed 6 rebounds and dished 9 assists in 44 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Olimpi Tbilisi (8-6) is placed fifth in the Superleague.
There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical.
Bennett has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages 16.9ppg, 3.6rpg, 5.3apg and 2.1spg.
#2. David Laury (6'9''-F/C-90, played in 2010-11, plays in Puerto Rico) led Brujos de Guayama to a victory over the league outsider Atleticos (1-7) 78-67 in the Puerto Rican BSN in Tuesday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Laury had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 10 rebounds.
Brujos de Guayama (2-4) is placed sixth in the BSN.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Laury has very impressive stats this year 18.4ppg, 10.2rpg and 2.0apg in five games he played so far.
#3. Deangelo Stephens-Bell (6'2''-G-95, played in 2014-15, currently in Argentina) contributed to a Regatas Corrientes' victory against the 16th-ranked Argentino (6-19) 97-91 in the Argentinian La Liga last Saturday.
Stephens-Bell scored 9 points in 20 minutes.
Regatas Corrientes (16-10) is placed second in the La Liga.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
This season Stephens-Bell averages 4.3ppg and 1.3rpg.
#4. Jovan Mooring (6'2''-G-94, played in 2013-14, plays pro in the NBA G League) helped Fort Wayne Mad Ants win their game against the Greensboro Swarm (24-26) 127-115 in the NBA G League on Thursday night.
He recorded 12 points and added 8 passes.
The Fort Wayne Mad Ants have 23-27 record this season.
The Regular Season already ended in the NBA G League.
Mooring has relatively good stats this year 11.9ppg, 2.6rpg and 4.6apg in 11 games.
Mooring is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
#5. Jamal Shabazz (6'6''-G/F-94, played in 2013-14, plays in Australia) was the main contributor in a Hume City Broncos' victory against the ninth-ranked Stingrays (0-2) crushing them 114-91 in the Australian State League (second division) in Saturday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Shabazz recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 13 rebounds. He also added 3 assists in 25 minutes. It was his first game for Hume City Broncos this season; not bad, considering it's only Shabazz's third season in pro basketball. His team are placed sixth in Big V group.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
#6. Akol Deng (6'7''-F, graduated '17, currently in Australia) managed to help Forestville Eagles in a victory against the eighth-ranked Central District Lions crushing them 138-82 in the Australian State League (second division) last Saturday.
He scored only 4 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
This year Deng averages 4.0ppg and 4.7rpg in three games.
#7. Chol Luk (6'5''-F, graduated '17, plays pro in Australia). He could not help Central District Lions to beat Noarlunga City Southern Tigers.
Luk recorded 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 19 minutes.
His team were badly defeated by 16 points 95-79.
This season Luk has very high stats. He averages 18.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.0apg.
#8. Stefan Radosavljevic (6'9''-F-96, graduated '18, plays in Spain) was not able to help Plasencia in their game against Menorca in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). Radosavljevic cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones.
He scored only 2 points.
His team was edged 59-56.
This year Radosavljevic averages 4.7ppg and 3.3rpg in three games.
#9. Anthony Allen (7'0''-C-92, played in 2013-14, currently in Thailand), who plays in the Thailand TBSL was not able to secure a victory for PEA (5-2) in their game last Saturday. Despite his very good performance PEA was edged 81-78 at home by the lower-ranked Luang (#4).
Allen recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 20 rebounds in 39 minutes.
This season Allen has very high stats. He averages 17.2ppg, 12.6rpg and 2.4apg.
Allen is a naturalized Jamaican.
