EuroBasket Pro Bears Weekly Update

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Bears players who continue their career in pro basketball.

   #1. Ivan Cruz Uceda (6'10''-C/F-91, played in 2012-14, plays pro in Spain) managed to help RETAbet Bilbao Basket to win against the 13th-ranked Leyma Basquet (9-14) crushing them 87-59 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) on Sunday night. He recorded only 3 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 15 minutes. RETAbet Bilbao Basket (15-7) is placed second in the LEB Gold. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This season Cruz Uceda averages 8.5ppg and 5.4rpg.

   #2. Sergio Rupil (6'3''-G/F-94, graduated '14, plays in Argentina) led Ameghino de Villa Maria to a victory against the sixth-ranked Tiro Federal (7-20) 87-79 in the Argentinian La Liga Argentina (second division) in Sunday night's game. He recorded 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Ameghino de Villa Maria (12-14) is placed fifth in North - C.North group. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Rupil has relatively good stats this year 10.5ppg, 2.2rpg and 2.3apg in 26 games he played so far.

   #3. Shevon Thompson (7'0''-C-93, played in 2013-14, currently in the NBA G League), who plays in the NBA G League could not help the Wisconsin Herd (9-26) to beat the Windy City Bulls (20-17). He scored 7 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in only 13 minutes. The Wisconsin Herd (#5) was badly defeated 126-110 on the road by the Windy City Bulls. Thompson has relatively good stats this season 12.8ppg and 8.8rpg.

   #4. Roussel Nkali (6'9''-F-92, played in 2012-13, plays pro in Georgia) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Vera in their game against MBG (4-0) in the Georgian A League (second division). His contribution was not very remarkable in Thursday's game. Nkali recorded only 2 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Vera lost 88-92 to the second-ranked MBG. Nkali has relatively good stats this year 10.3ppg, 9.7rpg and 1.7apg in three games.
