EuroBasket Pro Rebels Weekly Update

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top former Rebels players who continue their career in pro basketball.

   #1. Duop Reath (6'11''-F-96, played in 2014-16, plays pro in Serbia) could not help FMP (8-11) in their last game. Despite his very good performance FMP was edged 87-85 on the road by the second-ranked Cedevita. Reath was the second best scorer with 19 points. He also added 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in 27 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Reath's first season in pro basketball. There are only three games left until the end of the ABA League Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Reath averages 8.8ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.7bpg in 18 games he played so far. He has also South Sudanese passport.

   #2. Andre Pierce (6'10''-F/C, played in 2014-17, plays in Romania) was not able to help Miercurea Ciuc (8-13) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Pierce's very good performance the sixth-placed Miercurea Ciuc (8-13) was edged 89-86 in Bucuresti by the higher-ranked Rapid (#3) in the Group Blue. He was the top scorer with 26 points. Pierce also added 9 rebounds. It's Pierce's first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Pierce averages 24.4ppg, 11.5rpg, 1.6apg and 1.1spg.

   #3. Fred Richardson III (6'7''-F/G, played in 2013-14, currently in Kosovo), who plays in the Kosovan Superliga was not able to secure a victory for Rahoveci (12-7) in their last game. Despite Richardson III's very good performance Rahoveci was badly defeated 85-68 at home by the lower-ranked (#4) Prizreni. He had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 11 rebounds. Richardson III also added 4 assists and 4 steals in 40 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Richardson III has very impressive stats this year 19.2ppg, 9.7rpg, 2.2apg and 2.2spg in 17 games.

   #4. Trahson Burrell (6'7''-F/G-92, played in 2012-14, plays pro in the NBA G League) couldn't help the Texas Legends (14-24) in their game against the Memphis Hustle (21-16) in the NBA G League. Burrell scored 6 points. The Texas Legends (#4) were crushed 115-94 in Southaven by the Memphis Hustle. This season Burrell averages 6.3ppg, 4.0rpg and 1.7apg.

   #5. Ahmed Hamdy (6'9''-F-93, played in 2014-15, plays in Georgia) couldn't help Rustavi in their last game. Despite Hamdy's good performance Rustavi was crushed 87-65 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked (#8) Batumi. He recorded 10 points in 18 minutes. It's Hamdy's first season with the team. Hamdy has relatively good stats this year 13.6ppg and 9.0rpg in five games. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

   #6. Leroy Isler (6'5''-G-91, graduated '14, currently in Spain) couldn't help Villarrobledo in their game against Menorca in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division). He scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was edged 76-73. This season Isler averages 5.6ppg and 1.8rpg. He is a naturalized Jamaican.

   #7. Vincent Garrett (6'6''-SF-91, graduated '14, plays pro in Germany) was the major contributor in a Jena II's victory against the 12th-ranked Bad Aibling 92-79 in the German Regionalliga (fourth division) in Saturday night's game. He scored 15 points, grabbed 5 boards, dished 3 assists and stole 4 balls in 20 minutes. It was his first game for Jena II this season.

   #8. Roussel Nkali (6'9''-F-92, played in 2013-14, plays in Georgia) led Vera to an easy victory against the league outsider Tbilisi crushing them 109-82 in the Georgian A League (second division) last Saturday. He recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 10 rebounds. Nkali has relatively good stats this season 10.3ppg, 9.7rpg and 1.7apg.
