Maddyn Greenway tallies five assists as USA steamrolls Korea 134-53 in FIBA U19 World Cup- July 13, 2025It wasn’t too long ago when Maddyn Greenway (5'8''-G-2007) was added to the U19 Team USA squad, who is now over in Brno, Czechia competing for gold in the FIBA U19 World Cup. USA is in Group A, taking on Israel, Hungary and Korea. Unfortunately for Korea, they were the first team to get a look at Greenway and Team USA and… it wasn’t very pretty for them. USA won 134-53. Things got out of hand quick as USA led 30-17 after the first quarter, but after Korea managed only eight points in the second quarter, it was really over then. For being a late addition, Greenway played exceptionally well. The 5-foot-8 Kentucky commit tied Kate Harpring (5'11''-G-2008) with five assists, which was a team high. On top of that, she recorded 10 points and three steals — doing it all on both ends of the floor. Top prospects Saniyah Hall (6'1''-G-2008) and Sienna Betts (6'4''-F-2006) combined for 48 points on 19/25 shooting from the floor. Sydney Douglas (6'6''-F-2008), a Kentucky target and the No. 2 player in the 2028 class, had a solid eight points and four rebounds in 14 minutes of play. USA will take on Hungary on Sunday at 2:15 p.m. ET, then Israel on July 15 at 8:30 a.m. ET. God bless America.
