On Saturday April 12th, the Carolina Crusader traveled to Hickory, NC to compete against the Hickory Hoyas. Just last week, the Crusaders hosted and lost to the PrimeTime Players, and, unfortunately, this game would not satisfy their need for revenge. The game started electric as the Crusaders quickly got the Hoyas down 7-2; however, energetic buckets from the Hoyas frontline proved to be a problem for the Crusaders who struggled to get into sync and on the same page strategically. The score fluctuated many times during the game as baskets were exchanged, but in the final moments of the game, the Hoyas took and kept the lead, winning the game 94-101 and leaving the Crusaders 3-5. The Crusader finished with 4 players in double figures led by Jalin Alexander (6'3''-SG-1994, college: Queens, NC) 25pts, Monte Evans 15, Cincere Scott (6'1''-PG, college: Caldwell Tech) 15, and Damajae Hicks (6'9''-C) with 14.
