Panthers Move To Top Of Division with 114-96 Win- April 1, 2025Things look to be back on track for the Fayetteville Panthers after a 114–96 bounce-back win over the Winston-Salem Wolves on Saturday. The Panthers went into this game seeking vengeance after the Wolves defeated them back on March 23rd in a 100–96 nailbiter. The Panthers' newest rising star led the scoring, Teus Anderson (6'6''-SF-1998, college: Anderson), a 6' 6" forward out of Conway, SC, who played three prior seasons in the ECBL for the Coastal Elite Pirates. Anderson has drastically improved his numbers as a Panther, going from 20.7 PPG in his last season with the Pirates to 29.3 PPG, which ranks him sixth in the league in scoring. He would finish this game with 26 points on 11–18 shooting from the field to go alongside five rebounds and four steals. Following just behind Anderson, seven-year Panther veteran X’vetrias Xvetrias Rakin (6'5''-F-1994, college: Guilford Tech) would finish the game with 25 points on 10–21 shooting. Xvetrias Rakin would also rake in seven rebounds and three assists. Xvetrias Rakin currently ranks sixth in the ECBL in blocks per game with two. Brian Calloway would achieve a rare feat in this game, becoming just the 25th player in league history to surpass the 1,000 career point mark. Calloway would do this in a game where he would score 23 points on 9–18 shooting, which included five made three-pointers. He would tally 11 rebounds and six assists in this game. The Panthers will be back at home on April 12th as they will take on the Philly Raiders, tipoff is at 4:00 PM at the Bill Sapp Rec Center in Lumberton, NC.
