Darian Peterson had a strong game with 29 points to give the Cavs a fighting chance, but the Heat’s onslaught of 3’s was the difference maker in this match up with the team making 22 3 pointers for the game. The first quarter ended with the Heat up 29-23. A strong team shooting performance by the Heat hitting 5 3's in the second quarter the halftime score was 60-45 Heat lead. The third quarter looked better for the Cavs as rookie guard Jordan Crump (6'3''-G, college: VWU) chip in 10 points in the quarter to help the Cavs win the quarter 28-27 but was still down on the scoreboard with the Heat leading 87-73 to finish the 3rd. The Cavs fought hard and scored 27 points in the 4th, but the DC Heat knew it was time to seal the game, scoring 43 in the quarter and finished the game with a final score of 130-100; also ending the Cavs winning streak to just two games.
