The Webdogs picked up a must win home conference game this past Sunday when they knocked off the Garden City Magic 117-107. The Webdogs came out in the first quarter slowly, but put together an early lead that led to a 27-23 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. It was the second and third quarter where the Webdogs would take it to another level as they combined to score 69 points in those two quarters which led to a 96-69 lead going into the 4th, which also included them holding the Magic to just 14 points in the 3rd. Their offense was clicking on all cylinders with urgency of losing this game that would knock them out of playoff contention. The Magic went on an amazing run cutting the lead to 8 in the 4th but the Webdogs eventually held on for the win and moved to 3-5 in the conference and still kept their playoff hopes alive. Xavier Kelly (5'8''-PG, college: Morris) finished the game with a team high 25 points, while Mayne Maybin and E'Mandi Brooks (6'5''-F) combined for 44 points and 26 rebounds. The Webdogs also had Justin McKinney (6'3''-SF, college: CCC) finish with 14 points and 13 rebounds and the starting point guard Tyrell Oglesby (6'1''-PG) added 12 points and 9 assists.
