PrimeTime Returns to Conference Finals

The PrimeTime Players took on the Gastonia Snipers in the Southern Conference Semifinals this past Sunday with a spot in the conference finals for the winners. PrimeTime missed the Conference Finals for the 1st time after being knocked out by Columbia in last year's semifinals. PrimeTime came into the matchup as the leagues #2 seed and Gastonia came in as the #6 seed and also off of a 140-128 upset win over Bishopville Devils. The PrimeTime Players opened up strong with Cornellius Reynolds (6'6''-G/F-1997, college: Claflin) scoring 17 points in the 1st quarter as PrimeTime took control early and led 30-20 at the end of one. The second quarter was the exact opposite as Gastonia was able to break down the defense of PrimeTime and find multiple player open for wide open three points including 4 by Yakim Jenkins (5'10''-PG). Going into the half Gastonia outscored PrimeTime 13-4 over the final 2 minutes to take a 70-69 lead. The second half both teams played even through the 3rd quarter before PrimeTime Pulled away in the 4th by out scoring Gastonia 38-16 in the quarter. Denzell Hosch (6'0''-PG) scored 11pts down the stretch and Isiah Cureton (6'4''-F, college: Wingate) added 16 as PrimeTime Came away with a 136-118 win. PrimeTime advances to the conference Finals meet Saturday in Rock Hill as they will take on the top seed Carolina Thunder.
