Pirates Knock off Magic In Home Opener

The Coastal Elite Pirates hosted the Garden City Magic Sunday in their home opener. The Pirates started out strong & never looked back and cruised to a 123-107 win over the Magic. It was a great team effort with multiple pirates scoring in double figures with Darius Lee (6'8''-G-1998) leading the way with 25 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. Jake Brownlee scored 19 points for the winner and Nigel Chaney (6'2''-G-1998, college: Voorhees) and Karon Wright (6'0''-PG) combined for 26 with each scoring 13. The overall game high was by Chris Jones of the Garden City Magic who finished with 26.
