PrimeTime Players returned home to Fort Mill Community Center on Saturday dealing with adversity the team has yet to experience in ECBL play - a two-game losing streak. The five-time champions put a halt to that skid defeating Garden City Magic 147-111.
The duo of big men Ricardo Glenn (6'8''-C-90, college: USC Upstate, agency: BIG) (28 points, 18 rebounds, six assists) and Trevor Booker (6'8''-F-87, college: Clemson) (28 points, 17 rebounds, six assists) proved to be too much for the visitors who trailed from the opening tip. PrimeTime took a 34-26 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
Trailing at halftime 66-48, the Magic battled in the third outscoring PTP 33-32. It would be as close as they would get though as PrimeTime scored 49 points in the final frame.
Robert Turner III (6'2''-G-93, college: Texas Tech, agency: Interperformances) led all scorers with 29 in a losing effort. Michael Couvson (6'3''-G) chipped in 26 with teammates Daniel Quarles (6'9''-F/C) and Travon McGruder (6'6''-F, college: Albany St.) scored 14 points each.
PTP guard Chris Moore (6'2''-G-86, college: Charleston So.) scored 29 points, eight rebounds and a team-high 13 assists. Lysander Bracey (6'4''-G-96, college: Hampton) (20 points) and James Murray (6'0''-PG, college: Sandhills CC) (18 points) both had good efforts while Odell Turner (6'7''-PF-91, college: Wingate) posted a double-double with 17 points, 13 rebounds.
PrimeTime Players (8-2) are back at home on Saturday hosting the North Carolina Coyotes (4-5). Game time is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
