American Myles Powell (188-G-1997) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Scarborough Shooting Stars and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 28-year old guard had the game-high 29 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Scarborough in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Calgary (#5, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 106-104. Shooting Stars maintains the 2nd position in their group in the CEBL . They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Scarborough already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. Powell just recently signed at Shooting Stars, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Seton Hall University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Powell is league's best scorer averaging so far 31.3ppg. Powell is in league's top in and averages solid 51.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American point guard Evan Gilyard II (180-PG-1998) of Calgary Surge. Gilyard II impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Surge lost that game 101-111 to the higher-ranked Vancouver (#1, 4-1). This loss caused Calgary to drop to 5th position in Western Conference. 4 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Gilyard II is one of the most experienced players at Calgary and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.3ppg (#6). He also recorded 6.3 assists per game. University of Missouri - Kansas City alumni Gilyard II played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was another Calgary's star - Javonte Brown-Ferguson (213-C-2002). Brown-Ferguson scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Brown-Ferguson's great performance the Calgary Surge lost 104-106 to the league's current leader Scarborough (#2, 4-0). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Surge can only dream about fighting for top spots in Eastern Conference. They have awful season losing so far all 4 games. Brown-Ferguson has a very solid season. In 2 games in CEBL he scored 14.5ppg.
