Jaelen House claims CEBL Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Jaelen House (183-PG-2001) had an amazing evening in the last round for Vancouver Bandits and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 24-year old playmaker got a double-double of 33 points and 10 assists, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Saskatchewan (#5, 0-3) with 29-point margin 124-95. Thanks to this victory Bandits moved-up to the 3rd position in CEBL. Vancouver is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game House had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Bandits and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. University of New Mexico graduate has very impressive stats this year. House is in league's top in points (2nd best: 30.0ppg) and assists (3rd best: 7.0apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Ja'Vonte Smart (193-G-1999) of Ottawa Blackjacks. Smart impressed basketball fans with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. It was enough for Blackjacks to edge Calgary (0-2) by 5 points 93-88. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Smart is one of the most experienced players at Ottawa and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.7ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 5.7rpg and 9.3apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Ottawa's star - American Matthew Cleveland (201-G-1998). Cleveland showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Cleveland's great performance the Ottawa Blackjacks lost 86-91 to #1 ranked Brampton. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Blackjacks needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in the Eastern Conference. Their record is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Cleveland has a great season in CEBL. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 12.0rpg (2nd best).
