Smid's pro career starts at Vancouver

The Vancouver Bandits (CEBL) signed 201cm forward Shadynn Smid, who recently graduated from Victoria (U Sports). He spent the last four years playing for the team. Smid will have a better opportunity to showcase his skills in the CEBL and is expected to receive more playing time. His contributions helped Victoria win the Canada West Tournament and finish the regular season in first place. Smid's successful season earned him a spot on the All-Canada West Second Team.
As mentioned above, he is fresh out of college and it is his first full season in professional basketball.
