Francis inks at Calgary at the beginning of his pro career

Calgary Surge (CEBL) added forward Joshua Francis (211cm) to their roster for the new 2026 season. He graduated last year from Memorial (U Sports). In 21 games, he recorded 6.1ppg, 4.6rpg, and 1.1apg. CEBL will be a better match for him, and he can expect more playing time. He spent his high school career at Fort Erie International Academy in Fort Erie, ON.
It will be his first season as a professional player, of course.
