Shooting Stars players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian forward Khalil Miller (203-1996, agency: Starting 5) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American guard Donovan Williams (198-2001, college: UNLV) contributed with 26 points and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Justin Ndjock-Tadjore (203, college: Ottawa) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds and forward Tyrrel Tate (196-1992, college: Fayetteville St.) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Blackjacks. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.

Surge forced 20 Bandits turnovers. Strangely Bandits outrebounded Surge 50-22 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Surge shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 51.3 percentage. American point guard Jameer Nelson Jr (185-2000, college: TCU) fired 39 points (!!!) for the winners. His fellow American import point guard Evan Gilyard II (180-1998, college: UMKC, agency: JCK Sports Group) chipped in 29 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Gilyard II is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Australian swingman Mitch Creek (196-1992) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Tyrese Samuel (208-2000, college: Florida) added 25 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
