Experienced Australian Mitch Creek (196-F/G-1992) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Vancouver Bandits and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 33-year old swingman had the game-high 27 points adding six rebounds and five assists for Vancouver in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Winnipeg (#4, 9-12) with 32-point margin 106-74. It allowed Bandits to consolidate first place in the CEBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Vancouver has a very solid 17-5 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Creek turned to be Bandits's top player in his first season with the team. Creek has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 23.8ppg) and averages solid 63.7% FGP and 46.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Vancouver's star - young forward Tyrese Samuel (208-F-2000). Samuel impressed basketball fans with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course together with Creek he helped Vancouver Bandits with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Winnipeg (#4, 9-12) 106-74. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Western Conference. Bandits consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has currently 17-5 record. Samuel is a newcomer at Bandits and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American Jameer Nelson Jr. (185-PG-2000) of second-ranked Calgary Surge. Nelson Jr. scored 23 points. He was a key player of Surge, leading his team to a 99-82 easy win against #4 ranked Montreal. Calgary needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in Western Conference. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 7 lost games. Nelson Jr. has a great season in CEBL. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.2ppg (8th best). He also has 3.2spg and a FGP of 55.4%.
