CEBL round 15 best performance: Aaryn Rai

Forward Aaryn Rai (198-F-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Niagara River Lions, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Brampton (#4, 6-11) 80-71. It allowed River Lions to consolidate first place in the CEBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Niagara has a very solid 13-5 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Rai has many years of experience at River Lions, through which he has constantly improved. Aaryn Rai averages this season 12.4ppg and 6.6rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Australian Mitch Creek (196-F/G-1992) of league's leader Vancouver Bandits. Creek had a very good evening with a double-double of 31 points and 11 rebounds. Of course Bandits cruised to a 103-92 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Winnipeg (#4, 7-9). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Western Conference. Vancouver consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has currently 12-5 record. Creek is one of the most experienced players at Vancouver and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Vancouver's star - American guard Taze Moore (196-G-1998). Moore scored 25 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was another key player of Vancouver Bandits, helping his team with a 103-92 win against #4 ranked Winnipeg. Bandits confirms their top position in Western Conference. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 5 lost games. Moore has a great season in CEBL. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.0ppg (7th best), rebounds with 8.5rpg (2nd best) and assists with 7.8apg (best passer).

7. Anthony Barber (188-PG-1994) of Scarborough - 28 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Teddy Allen (198-G-1998) of Saskatchewan - 24 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists
9. Jalen Adaway (196-G-1998) of Scarborough - 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Jaden Bediako (208-C-2000) of Saskatchewan - 15 points and 11 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
