An interesting game forBlaze (8-0) which hosted in 3rd ranked Phoenix (5-3). Top-ranked Blaze managed to get a 13-point victory 93-80 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Phoenix. Blaze looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Blaze made 7 blocks. Canadian-American guard Ameela Li (168-1997, college: Pacific) orchestrated the victory with a triple-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 14 assists. Guard Doris Jones (175-1998, college: UCSB) contributed with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Maddison Glass (163-1997, college: A&M-Commerce) replied with 19 points and 8 rebounds and forward Kiara Brown (185, college: Menlo) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Phoenix. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Blaze have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Phoenix at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost.
