Regular Season Round 8: Wolves - Riptide 109-78

Bottom-rankedRiptide is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to second ranked Wolves (7-1) 109-78 . Wolves dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Riptide 's 54. Wolves players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Riptide 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman IimarI Thomas (178-2000, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds (on 22-of-27 shooting from the field) and guard Rebecca Harris (173-1986, college: Illinois) who added 16 points, 19 rebounds and 14 assists during the contest. Four Wolves players scored in double figures. Forward Jhaina Stephens (185, college: SF State) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds and guard Serena Santos (, college: Sonoma St.) scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Wolves have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 7-1 record behind leader Blaze. Riptide at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost.
