Regular Season Round 4: Wolves - Reign 84-50

Bottom-rankedReign (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 84-50 loss to fourth ranked Wolves (3-1) in Alameda on Saturday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Wolves held Reign to an opponent 24.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Wolves looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Reign 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman IimarI Thomas (178-2000, college: UCLA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and guard Rebecca Harris (173-1986, college: Illinois) who added 14 points, 19 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side swingman Mo Bennett (177-1990, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 6 points and 11 rebounds and guard Toynetta Johnson (172-1992, college: UWF) scored 12 points. Wolves have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Phoenix and Titans. Loser Reign still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Riptide.
