Rather predictable result in Paterson where fourth rankedJackals (5-3) defeated 6th ranked Admirals (2-6) 119-105 on Thursday. Jamestown made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Jamestown outrebounded Tri-State A. 57-44 including a 46-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Jamestown looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Tri-State A. 's players. The best player for the winners was forward Troy Baker (203-1998, college: Southwestern, KS) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 23 rebounds. Guard Brent Price (188-1999, college: Wheeling) chipped in 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Idris Joyner (196-1998, college: Merrimack) who recorded 25 points and 6 rebounds and forward Mark Blair (193-2000, college: Dean) added 19 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively. Five Jamestown and four Tri-State A. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Jackals . Jamestown moved-up to second place, which they share with Virginia VV and Seattle. Tri-State A. lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with six games lost.
