Regular Season Round 15: Wenatchee B. - Vancouver V. 95-107

Date: March 24, 2024
Rather predictable result in Wenatchee where first ranked Volcanoes (6-1) defeated 5th ranked Bighorns (1-3) 107-95 on Sunday. Vancouver outrebounded Wenatchee B. 49-37 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Markus Golder (198-1997, college: Portland St.) who scored 30 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Elijah Ford (195-1999, college: Wagner) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Golder attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball. Four Volcanoes players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Rodarious Washington (-1998) who recorded 23 points and 9 rebounds and guard Tremont Robinson-White (185-1997, college: ECU) added 23 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Volcanoes. Vancouver maintains first place with 6-1 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Bighorns keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Vancouver will meet league's second-placed Seattle on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Wenatchee B. will play against Salem C. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
