The game had a very big importance for second-rankedVolcanoes as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Volcanoes defeated 4th placed Electric in Vancouver 127-120 . Vancouver dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Electric 's 48. Vancouver forced 21 Great Falls E. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Markus Golder (198-1997, college: Portland St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Guard Thomas Miles (190, college: WPU) contributed with 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Golder is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Volcanoes' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Antwaan Cushingberry (173-1999, college: St.Francis, IN) answered with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Lyletacoma Hexom (203-1995, college: Peru St.) added 24 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Great Falls E.Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Virginia VV and Frederick. Great Falls E. at the other side keeps the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with Wenatchee B. and Texas 7ers. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
