Regular Season Round 2: Valkyrie - Phoenix 69-71

A very close game took place in between Phoenix and Valkyrie. Phoenix got a very close victory on the road over Valkyrie. Phoenix managed to escape with a 2-point win 71-69 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Forward Aquira Decosta (185-2000, college: Sacramento St.) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Delia Moore (170, college: CS East Bay) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. Guard Akayla Hackson (173, college: CSUSM) responded with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and swingman Vivian Woo (170-2000, college: Menlo) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Valkyrie players scored in double figures. Phoenix will meet Royals in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Valkyrie will play against Reign and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
