Regular Season Round 1: Albany P. - Massachusetts M. 134-99

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Monarchs in Albany on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by Patroons 134-99. They dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to Monarchs' 42. They outrebounded Monarchs 58-29 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Patroons looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Monarchs' players. Guard AJ Mosby (190-1996, college: Alcorn St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Trevis Wyche (185-1995, college: St.Peter's) chipped in 18 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. At the losing side point guard Tony Gallo (180-1989, college: Coppin St.) responded with 25 points and 5 assists and guard Deven Palmer (193-1997, college: NCCU) scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. Five Patroons and four Monarchs players scored in double figures. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
