We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Dallas where Royals were crushed by Skyline 141-102 on Friday. Skyline forced 21 Royals turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Skyline made 7 blocks. Forward Alex Cooper (191-1995) fired 30 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Power forward Marcus Merchant (203-2000) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Swingman Demetrius Smith (196-1991, college: Huston-Tillotson) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Marlon Miller (180-1988, college: UMHB) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Skyline and four Royals players scored in double figures. Skyline will meet at home 7ers in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Royals will have a break next round.
