Regular Season Round 12: Ambassadors - Dallas H. 93-122

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Dallas: Dallas H. (#1) and Ambassadors (#2). Ambassadors were smashed at home by 29 points 93-122 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ambassadors. Dallas H. dominated down low during the game scoring 100 of its points in the paint compared to Ambassadors' 52. Dallas H. forced 30 Ambassadors turnovers and outrebounded them 54-42 including a 41-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dallas H. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dallas H. made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was power forward Onye Okezie (196) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 8 blocks. Guard Detarrius Kirk (190, college: Concordia, TX) chipped in a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Kirk is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Ladarian Choice (183, college: Trinity Valley) who recorded 27 points and 4 assists and guard Richard Turner (190, college: Eastfield) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Five Dallas H. and four Ambassadors players scored in double figures. Dallas H. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record. Ambassadors at the other side keep the second place with five games lost.
