Semi-Finals Game 1: Edmonton - Ottawa 94-87

Edmonton Stingers paved their way into the championship game as they knocked down Ottawa Blackjacks on Friday. The hosts were ahead by 6 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 29-19 run, which allowed them to win the game. Edmonton made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Ottawa turnovers. Strangely Ottawa outrebounded Edmonton 40-20 including 26 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American guard Xavier Moon (188-95, college: Morehead St.) nailed 22 points and 8 assists for the winning side and Saint Lucian-Canadian guard Adika Peter-McNeilly (190-93, college: Ryerson) accounted for 18 points and 6 assists. Center Chad Posthumus (210-91, college: Morehead St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and guard Kadre Gray (186-97, college: Laurentian) added 14 points and 9 assists (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for Ottawa in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ottawa's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
