Quarter-Finals Round 1: Fraser Valley - Guelph 104-84

Fraser Valley rallied past Guelph to secure the next round berth. Fraser Valley dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Guelph's 32. Fraser Valley had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Fraser Valley players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Guelph's players. American center Brandon Gilbeck (213-96, college: W.Illinois) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and guard Malcolm Duvivier (190-95, college: Akron) accounted for 21 points and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Five Fraser Valley players scored in double figures. American guard Michael Bryson (193-94, college: UCSB) came up with 24 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import point guard Anthony Barber (188-94, college: NC State) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for Guelph in the defeat. Guelph's coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win.
