Rather predictable result in Columbia where third ranked Coyotes (14-7) defeated 5th ranked Empire (11-9) 115-110 on Sunday. Coyotes made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Quincy Washington (198-90, college: Allen) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Eric Eaves (190-94, college: SC State) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward DaMontre McFarland (208-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and guard Djimon Henson (190-98, college: Morehead St.) added 34 points (!!!) respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Coyotes maintains third position with 14-7 record having eleven points less than leader Syracuse S. Loser Empire keeps the fifth place with nine games lost.
