Regular Season Round 35: Omaha F. - Houston P. 116-115

The most exciting game of round 35 in the TBL took place in Omaha. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Push (21-2) to fourth ranked Finest (12-12) 116-115 on Saturday evening. Finest made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Push turnovers. Strangely Push outrebounded Finest 69-40 including a 26-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Push helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for forward Devonte Patterson (201-96, college: PVAMU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Swingman KJ Scott (193-95, college: Mt.St.Mary's) helped adding 25 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Jevonlean Hedgeman (202-95, college: La-Lafayette) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and center Marcus Bell (206-90, college: CS Stanislaus) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Finest maintains fourth place with 12-12 record. Push at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Finest will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Push will play on the road against Leopards in Lewisville and is hoping to win this game.
