There was a small surprise in Wichita where ninth ranked Prestige (4-20) defeated 7th ranked Lightning (7-16) 124-116 on Saturday. Strangely Lightning outrebounded Prestige 67-54 including 24 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Prestige made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Devon Andrews (198-96, college: FIU) who scored 30 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Michael Zeno (198-95, college: New Orleans) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Zeno is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Five Prestige players scored in double figures. Guard Deonta Terrell (193-92, college: A&M-Commerce) produced a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!), 18 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Percell Washington (198-96, college: CBC) added 33 points (!!!), 20 rebounds and 5 assists (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Prestige maintains ninth place with 4-20 record. Loser Lightning keeps the seventh position with 16 games lost. Prestige will meet at home higher ranked Mavericks (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lightning will have a break next round.
