The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Leopards' (8-16) home loss to fifth ranked Skyline (11-13) 96-106 on Saturday. Skyline forced 24 Leopards turnovers. Strangely Leopards outrebounded Skyline 53-36 including a 27-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Lyle Hexom (203-95, college: Peru St.) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Ricardo Artis III (198-93, college: Wiley, agency: Green Sports Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Artis III is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Skyline players scored in double figures. Guard Jarrett Henderson (201-96, college: UWF) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and point guard Micheal Lenoir (180-1) added 22 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Skyline have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 11-13 record. Leopards lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 16 games lost. Skyline will meet league's leader Outlaws in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Leopards will play against the league's second-placed Push (#2) and hope to secure a win.
