The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Leopards' (8-14) road loss to fifth ranked Skyline (10-12) 109-115 on Sunday. Skyline shot 27 for 36 from the free-throw line, while Leopards only scored nine points from the stripe. It was a great shooting night for Skyline especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was guard Chancellor Ellis (193-95, college: PVAMU) who scored 29 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Ricardo Artis III (198-93, college: Wiley, agency: Green Sports Management) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds. Worth to mention Artis III played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. At the other side the best for losing team was guard John Mouton (197-97, college: TAMUK) who recorded 31 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kendal Yancy (190-94, college: Texas) added 23 points respectively. Five Skyline and four Leopards players scored in double figures. Skyline moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Omaha F. Loser Leopards keep the sixth position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
