Regular Season Round 26: Owensboro T. - Dayton F. 137-122

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Thoroughbreds (11-7) defeated 5th ranked Flight (7-11) in Owensboro 137-122 on Saturday. Thoroughbreds made 19-of-20 free shots (95.0 percent) during the game. Thoroughbreds had a 44-31 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Flight's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Thoroughbreds made 7 blocks. Guard Jaiveon Eaves (188-98, college: Murray St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 54 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Forward Evan Milligan (201-97, college: Life) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Point guard Taishaun Johnson (183-94, college: PVAMU) replied with 32 points and 8 rebounds and forward Kelvon Fuller (206, college: Southeastern) added 20 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Flight. Four Thoroughbreds and five Flight players scored in double figures. Thoroughbreds have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-7 record having four points less than leader Syracuse S. Loser Flight keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost. Thoroughbreds will face United (#6) in the next round.
