Regular Season Round 22: Shreveport M. - Dallas S. 112-110

Fourth-ranked Skyline (7-8) made lots of trouble for third ranked Mavericks (11-4) in Louisiana. Mavericks managed to secure only two-point victory 112-110. However their fans expected easier game. Mavericks dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Skyline's 50. They outrebounded Skyline 60-40 including a 48-32 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mavericks players were unselfish on offense dishing 38 assists comparing to just 25 passes made by Skyline's players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard AJ Mosby (188-96, college: Chattahoochee TC) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. Paul Parks (193) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Mavericks' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Lyle Hexom (203-95, college: Peru St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and point guard Malachi Davidson (183-97, college: Kilgore JC) added 20 points and 8 assists in the effort for Skyline. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Mavericks maintains third position with 11-4 record having five points less than leader San Diego G. Skyline lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
