An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in San Diego. First ranked Guardians faced 4th ranked Breeze. Host Guardians (10-2) defeated guests from (4-9) 126-120. Guardians players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St.) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and swingman Nigel Jones (201-90, college: Talladega) supported him with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds by guard Taka Hall (190-97, college: UNLV) did not help to save the game for Breeze. Guard Nathaniel Moore (185-94, college: Minot St.) added 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Guardians have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-2 record. Breeze lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
