Regular Season Round 21: Syracuse S. - South Shore M. 148-106

Bottom-ranked Moncarchs (0-11) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their 11th consecutive match to second ranked Stallions (10-4) 148-106 on Sunday evening. Stallions dominated down low during the game scoring 98 of its points in the paint compared to Moncarchs' 64. Stallions forced 19 Moncarchs turnovers and outrebounded them 64-34 including a 21-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Moncarchs' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Stallions made 14 blocks. Guard Jordan Robertson (190-96, college: Colgate, agency: Green Sports Management) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and swingman Trahson Burrell (201-92, college: Memphis) chipped in 11 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Worth to mention Robertson played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. The best for the losing side was guard Christopher Miller (192-93, college: Salem) with 23 points and 5 rebounds and forward Majestic Grigg (201, college: Plattsburgh St.) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Stallions. They maintain second place with 10-4 record having just one point less than leader San Diego G. Moncarchs lost their eleventh game in a row. They still close the standings with 11 games lost. Stallions will have a break next round. Moncarchs will play at home against the league's leader Jackals (#1) and hope to get finally their first victory.
