Not a big story in a game in Louisiana where 5th ranked Royals (4-6) were outplayed by third ranked Mavericks (9-2) 143-93 on Saturday. Mavericks dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Royals' 48. Mavericks forced 21 Royals turnovers and outrebounded them 59-40 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Royals' players. The best player for the winners was point guard AJ Mosby (188-96, college: Chattahoochee TC) who scored 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Paul Parks (193) chipped in 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Guard Marvin White (188, college: SW Christian) produced 24 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Ernest Carter (193-96, college: RMU) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Mavericks and four Royals players scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Mavericks. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Royals lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the fifth place with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
