The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Bobcats (8-2) in Dayton on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by third ranked Flight (4-4) 101-99. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for forward Kelvon Fuller (206, college: Southeastern) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. Point guard Taishaun Johnson (183-94, college: PVAMU) helped adding 19 points and 5 assists. Johnson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was point guard Eugene German (183-97, college: NIU) with 28 points and 6 rebounds and forward AJ Patty (204-95, college: MSU) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Four Flight and five Bobcats players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Flight went down to fourth position due to points difference. Bobcats at the other side still keep top place with two games lost. They share the position with Shreveport M. and Jamestown J.. Flight are looking forward to face higher ranked Thoroughbreds (#3) in Owensboro in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bobcats will play against United and are hoping to win this game.
