Very important is a road loss of second ranked Stallions (7-4) against seventh ranked Admirals (3-5) on Sunday night. Visiting Stallions were defeated by Admirals in a tough game in Paterson 81-88. Admirals made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Stallions turnovers. Strangely Stallions outrebounded Admirals 52-40 including 40 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was swingman Malik Thomas (201-92, college: Norfolk St.) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Ahmad Gilbert (201-96, college: St.Thomas, FL) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Trahson Burrell (201-92, college: Memphis) who recorded 19 points and 9 rebounds and center Jacquil Taylor (208-95, college: Hofstra) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Admirals moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Tampa Bay T. Loser Stallions keep the second position with four games lost. Admirals will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Stallions will play against the league's leader Jackals in Jamestown and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
