There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Moncarchs (0-6) were crushed at home by second ranked Stallions (6-2) 113-86 on Sunday. Stallions well out of reach of Moncarchs shooting 76.1 percent from the field. They also forced 20 Moncarchs turnovers and outrebounded them 39-24 including a 32-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Jordan Robertson (190-96, college: Colgate, agency: Green Sports Management) who scored 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Jacquil Taylor (208-95, college: Hofstra) chipped in 21 points (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Robertson attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Michael Pierre (190-96, college: S.Vermont) who recorded 21 points and 4 assists and Cape Verdean guard Denzel Brito (188-91, college: Loyola, MD) added 15 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Stallions have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader San Diego G. Loser Moncarchs still closes the standings with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
