There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Finest (2-4) outscored at home 6th ranked Leopards (2-6) 136-87 on Sunday. Finest forced 27 Leopards turnovers and had a 41-30 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Leopards' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Finest made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard LJ Westbrook (193-94, college: Peru St.) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Craig Sword (190-94, college: MSU) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Five Finest players scored in double figures. Finest's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jarrett Henderson (201-96, college: UWF) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and guard Lewis Paterson III (193-96) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Finest moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Columbus C. Leopards lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
