Guardians (6-1) recorded its first loss in Dayton on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Flight (3-2) 115-111. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Guardians. Flight forced 21 Guardians turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Tyrell Means (188-91, college: IU Southeast, agency: Green Sports Management) who scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Jordan Bedford (183-91, college: Belhaven, agency: Green Sports Management) chipped in 26 points. Bedford is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Kendall Small (183-97, college: Chaminade) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and center Ryan Smith (211-95, college: Tulane) added 16 points and 16 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Flight moved-up to third place, which they share with Owensboro T. Guardians at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. They share it with Jamestown J. and Kokomo B.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
