Rather expected game in Owensboro where 6th ranked United (2-4) was crushed by third ranked Thoroughbreds (3-1) 132-112 on Sunday. Thoroughbreds outrebounded United 67-54 including 21 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by United's players. Point guard Darhius Nunn (175-98, college: PBA) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and guard Corey Wilford (188-91, college: SEMO) chipped in 32 points. The best for the losing side was guard Jaire Grayer (196-96, college: TCU) with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds and guard Karl Harris (196-96, college: NKU) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. Four Thoroughbreds and five United players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Thoroughbreds. They maintain third place with 3-1 record having seven points less than leader San Diego G. Loser United keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Thoroughbreds will face Hustle (#7) in the next round.
